Mocha Caramel is a 10 month old female Russian Blue/Calico mix. Born at the rescue on 4/19/15 into a Litter of six. Born a twin she and sister French Vanilla are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Having been adopted once with her twin these girls were unfortunately returned to the rescue after accidentally scratching an expensive couch. Pepper is a 6 month old female tabby/Persian mix with a very interesting history. Rescued at 8 weeks after being hit by a car and left to die in the road alone. Thankfully she was found and brought to our rescue where she received vet care for only minor scratches and out of place hip. Finally coming around to trust us after two weeks Pepper became trusting and lovable with everyone and purring all the time. Recently Pepper was rushed into emergency surgery for Pyrometra. This girl had dealt with pain and infection for two weeks while showing no signs of distress, illness or fever. Chance of survival through surgery were slim which she ... Almost three weeks post op Pepper developed mammory abscesses that ruptured and others drained. These wounds have not stopped progress and today her sutures will be removed. Several months ago our organization finally rescued the emaciated stray beagle known as the 'DG Stray' after two years. Now known as Buddy this sweet natured and loving boy was a stray for those two years but at one time had a caring owner. Upon intake he was malnourished, dehydrated, filthy, and needed TLC and food. Reason is a 2-3yr old female Boxer/Pit mix rescued after she was found near death. Wandering into the yard of a local family upon escaping her horrid situation our rescue was contacted to save her life. Extremely malnourished, dehydrated, abused, overbred, emaciated, and in pain we took immediate action. Weighing only 30lbs upon intake reason was unable to eat like she needed to because someone tortured her by shaving down and pulling out her front teeth. Her gums were bruised, irritated, swollen, and painful. She had recently had pups and needed someone to show her love. Reason has undergone dental surgery to correct pain, placed on ... Warrior is a Black Sianese mixed male cat that is currently disabled. He was a feral cat we rescued after noticing he had an injury to his leg. Warrior is approximately 1 years old and very friendly. His back leg has been broken and unfortunately healed incorrectly but also had an open wound on this leg when we saved him. After vet care, antibiotics and sugar packing his wound is now 99% healed and his hair will grow back. Tiny is an 8 month old female black tuxedo kitten who came to us along with 20 other cats from a hoarding situation back in June 2014.
